PaperBoy for iphone

Get your rose tinted spectacles on and read over this article about Paperboy coming to iphone. Is this a good thing, I think so! The Secret of Monkey Island was a great success  and with Sega releasing Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Sonic the Hedgehog and now this, it can only build on those foundations.  Personally, I jail broke my iphone and have a PSX, NES, SNES, GBA and Genisis emulator so I can play all the retro games I want. but we don’t condone that sort of thing on this site. check out the news HERE

Man – that looks great, and I have to say that Doom on the iPhone has eaten up too much of my time recently – it’s the perfect game for the format. Now let’s get that Speccy emulatoor going eh?

Was Doom any good? I never tried that one out. I do recommend Streets of Rage though, its perfect. Flash back is another game I got but its tricky to control. Why can’t apple bring out a plug in joypad thing so we can play games properly. sigh

This could definately work, however i see one major flaw in your joystick. You would then need some sort of stand to cradle the Ipod at eye level.

        Oh and hi.

Doom was excellent and well worth the download – particularly as you can literally pick up and play it. Apparently it was just the guys at id were just trying it out to see if they could port their old games and it worked so well they released it. The on screen controls are a bit dodge but the wide screen helps out for the old games which were more square.

And unless there was a bluetooth joypad it would be difficult to work, but Apple really should look into it.
